Hello. My name is Norma Thomas and I am a bilingual psychotherapist and psychosocial assessor licensed in Kentucky. I work with English- and Spanish- and Spanglish-speaking persons to help them define and achieve their personal and therapeutic goals.
Common issues that I address include anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, low self-esteem, life transitions, and general stress. I also provide support for clients facing more complex challenges such as trauma, multiple forms of abuse, refugee and immigration experiences, and grief and loss, among others.
My approach is holistic, rooted in empathy and cultural sensitivity, and tailored to meet the psychological needs of individuals ranging from pre-teens to older adults. I work collaboratively with clients to help them gain insight and develop practical coping strategies for lasting change.
Whatever difficult situation you’re facing, you don’t have to face it alone. I honor your courage in seeking therapy and provide a safe space with empathic, caring support on your journey to reconnect with your strengths, purpose, and joy, despite your circumstances. Each session is held to help you gain a fresh perspective on your personal challenges, recognize available resources, redefine your life’s meaning, and live it to the fullest. In our sessions together, you can expect to always feel heard, acknowledged, valued, and encouraged to make positive changes in your life. You are worthy of living a fulfilling life.
